Example Corp
1. Position
You will join Example Corp as Senior Product Designer, reporting to the Head of Design, starting on 3 November 2026.
2. Compensation
Your fixed annual salary will be INR 24,00,000, paid monthly in arrears.
You are eligible for an annual performance bonus of up to 10% of your fixed salary, at the Company’s sole discretion.
A joining bonus of INR 2,00,000 will be paid with your first salary.
If you leave within 12 months of joining, you must repay the joining bonus in full.
3. Probation and notice
You will be on probation for six months.
During probation, either party may end employment with 15 days’ notice.
After confirmation, the notice period is 90 days from either side.
The Company may pay salary in lieu of notice or ask you not to attend work during the notice period.
4. Hours, leave and place of work
Normal working hours are 40 hours a week.
You may be required to work additional hours without extra pay where the business needs it.
You are entitled to 18 days of paid leave a year, in addition to public holidays.
Your place of work is Bengaluru.
The Company may transfer you to any office or affiliate in India.
5. Confidentiality and intellectual property
You must keep all confidential information of the Company secret during your employment and at all times after it ends.
All inventions, designs, code and other work you create during your employment, whether or not during working hours, belong to the Company.
6. After your employment ends
For 12 months after your employment ends, you must not join or work for any competitor of the Company in India.
For 12 months after your employment ends, you must not solicit any employee or customer of the Company.
7. Termination
The Company may end your employment immediately and without notice for misconduct, including dishonesty, breach of Company policy or conduct that harms the Company’s reputation.
Unvested stock options lapse on the date your employment ends.
8. Policies
Your employment is also governed by the Employee Handbook, the Code of Conduct and the IT Security Policy, as updated by the Company from time to time.
9. Questions and disputes
If you have a concern about your employment, raise it with your manager or write to people@example.com.
This letter is governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute will be referred to arbitration in Bengaluru under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
