What this is

CheckTOS reads terms of service and the documents they link to that companies publish, and rewrites them in plain language. Every breakdown quotes the source and points back to it.

Not legal advice

Nothing here is legal advice, and nothing here binds anyone. A breakdown helps you understand a document; it does not replace the document, a lawyer, or your own judgment. Any decision you make after reading a breakdown is yours.

Accuracy and freshness

Breakdowns come from public documents at a point in time. They can carry mistakes, miss context, or fall out of date, and CheckTOS does not update them continuously. Terms change, and a company's own current terms are the only authority. If a breakdown looks wrong, the company's published terms win, and you should take any factual dispute up with that company directly.

No affiliation

CheckTOS has no affiliation with any company it covers, and does not speak for them or represent them. Company names and quotes appear only to identify and explain their terms.

Use CheckTOS at your own discretion. To the fullest extent the law allows, CheckTOS and its author carry no liability for any loss or decision that arises from the breakdowns or the site.
