Terms of Service

Example Inc.

1. The Service

Example Notes is a note-taking app that uses AI to summarise and organise your notes (the "Service"), provided by Example Inc.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel.

Fees are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund.

We may change our prices with 30 days’ notice.

You keep ownership of the notes and files you upload ("Your Content").

You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy and process Your Content to run and improve the Service.

We may use Your Content to train and improve our AI models unless you turn off Model Training in your settings.

Turning off Model Training applies to content you add after the change.

You must not use the Service to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or send spam.

You must not reverse engineer the Service or use it to build a competing product.

If you send us feedback, we may use it for any purpose without paying you.

We may suspend or close your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms.

You can export Your Content for 30 days after your account closes; after that we may delete it.

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and you waive any right to take part in a class action.

You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@example.com within 30 days of creating your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

We may change these Terms by posting the new version and emailing you at least 14 days before it takes effect.

If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms.
